  • Two Big Ten teams find themselves among the top five squads nationally in scoring offense, including nation-leading Penn State. The Nittany Lions, who have scored at least five goals in four of their five contests, pace all teams with 5.60 goals per game thanks in part to the nation’s best power play (43.8 percent). Michigan, which led the nation in scoring last season with 3.86 goals per contest, is currently tied for third with 4.75 goals per game.
  • A Pair of Nittany Lions lead the conference in the three major individual scoring categories. Curtis Loik paces all Big Ten players with 2.00 points per game and 1.40 assists per contest. Fellow Nittany Lion Chase Berger shares the lead in goal scoring with Michigan’s Tyler Motte, with both players averaging 1.00 goals per game. Berger matched a Penn State record with four points last Friday against American International, netting two goals and adding a pair of assists.
