Mike Eaves has witnessed exhilarating victories, agonizing defeats and remarkable performances in his 13 seasons as the University of Wisconsin mens hockey coach. UW (1-10-1 overall, 0-2-0 Big Ten) struck first on junior defenseman Kevin Schulzes second-period goal. Schulze opened the scoring with his first goal of the season, his blast from just inside the blue line beating Penn State goaltender Matthew Skoff at 2: 32 of the second period.
