Minnesota moved back into a first-place tie with Michigan by defeating Penn State, 5-0, in Friday at the Mariucci Center.

Three first-period goals, from Kyle Rau, Justin Kloos and Hudson fasching, gave the Golden Gophers a commanding lead early in the game.
