Collegian: First game in Pegula brings many firsts

Many of the Penn State hockey trivia questions have found their answers.

The Nittany Lions opened Pegula Ice Arena with a 4-1 win, one of the many firsts in the brand new $90 million facility on Friday night.

“It was such a great night all around,” coach Guy Gadowsky said. “Obviously, for the Pegulas, for Joe Battista. It was a tremendous night for those that worked so hard to get this done. To come away with a victory, it felt great.”
