It all began over an evening phone call and a steak dinner at Kelly’s Steak and Seafood restaurant in Boalsburg.That’s when the conversation to put Penn State hockey on the Division-I map began between future Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula and longtime Icers coach Joe Battista, both Penn State alumni.It was a simple ordeal.
