New arena, new fans, new conference, new players, new experiences, new teams on the schedule and new pressure.
Just about the only thing that’s not new are the lessons learned from 2012-13, and the Nittany Lions will use those experiences to help guide them through a tough 2013-14 slate.
“We talk a lot about this as a staff, and we really feel that our biggest factor in that is going to be those players we had last year in terms of the experience they got last year,” coach Guy Gadowsky said at media day in September. “…We’re going to be certainly a lot different in depth at all positions, but we also feel that we’re going to make huge strides in terms of the experience that these players got last year.”
