Pegula Ice Arena’s first game was also the first collegiate contest for the team’s all-rookie line of David Goodwin, Dylan Richard and Zach Saar.
What began as a nerve-racking experience for the young trio quickly became a demonstration of youthful confidence and Penn State’s offensive depth.
“The first period was pretty insane,” Goodwin said after the historic victory. “It was hard for me to get past the jitters.”
