MICHIGAN STATE 3, PENN STATE 0: Mackenzie MacEachern and J.T. Stenglein scored less than three minutes apart in the middle of the second period to lead the host Spartans (11-12-2, 5-4-2-2) past the No. 19 Nittany Lions (15-8-4, 7-3-1). Matt DeBlow had the other goal for Michigan State early in the third period. Jake Hildebrand stopped 28 shots for the shutout. P.J. Musico had 31 saves for Penn State.
