Gadowsky, Bailey honored by B1G


The Big Ten Conference has announced is post-season awards following the conclusion of the 2014-15 regular season, and a number of Penn State Nittany Lions have been honored.

Head coach Guy Gadowsky was named the conference’s Coach of the Year, after leading the Nittany Lions to an 18-14-4 overall record, and a 10-9-1 conference record. It was the program’s first winning season since the team made the jump to NCAA Division I in 2012-13. Penn State upped their 2013-14 Big Ten victory total by seven wins, the largest increase by any team in the conference. The award is Gadowsky’s third coach of the year honor, earning the 2001-02 CCHA award at Alaska and the 2007-08 ECAC Hockey accolade at Princeton.
