EAST LANSING – It takes all kinds of contributions to win hockey games.

Take Michigan State’s 3-2 victory over Penn State on Saturday night at Munn Arena.

Mackenzie MacEachern scored all three goals for the Spartans and was selected as the game’s first star as MSU earned its second Big Ten series sweep in three weeks.

Joe Cox didn’t have a goal or an assist but he was named the third star, and easily could have been recognized as the No. 1 or 2 star.
