Nittany Lions Drop 3-1 Decision to Ohio State – Penn State Official Athletic Site


UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Jan. 3, 2015 – The Penn State women’s hockey team sliced a two-goal third period Ohio State lead in half, but were unable to complete the comeback and fell to the Buckeyes, 3-1, on Saturday.
After 40 minutes of scoreless play, the offense broke open in the third period. At 3:24, Ohio State’s (11-8-2, 7-7-2-1 WCHA) Taylor Kuehl sent a pass to Haley Studler from the corner who pushed it past Celine Whitlinger (Garden Grove, California) for the game’s first score
