Ohio State report: Buckeyes play Penn State in postseason men’s hockey opener | Buckeye Xtra Sports



One year after making the championship game in the Big Ten mens hockey tournament as the No. 4 seed, Ohio State will attempt to win the league title as the fifth seed beginning today in Detroit.

The Buckeyes (13-18-3, 8-11-1) play fourth-seeded Penn State (18-14-4, 10-9-1) in a quarterfinal this afternoon at Joe Louis Arena. A victory would put OSU in a semifinal on Friday against top-seeded Minnesota (21-12-3, 12-5-3).
