Penn State Topped by Ohio State, 6-0 – Penn State Official Athletic Site

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Jan. 4, 2015 – The Penn State women’s hockey team nearly tripled its shot total from its opening game of the series against Ohio State, but suffered a 6-0 non-conference loss to the Buckeyes in Pegula Ice Arena on Sunday.

The Nittany Lions (10-9-3, 5-4-1 CHA) came out in the first period with a strong forecheck, holding the Buckeyes to a 12-9 shot advantage. But with just under two minutes left in the stanza, Dani Sadek’s first of the year put Ohio State (12-8-2, 7-7-2-1 WCHA) on the board.
