Part of what makes being a goalie so great is the fact that you get to where special equipment. Sure the uniqueness of the position is a plus, getting the chance to control the pace of the game can be a bonus, but lets be honest… when you are kid playing hockey, the first thing that attracts you to wanting to be a goalie is the gear.
