WHKY: Women’s Hockey Stopped by Robert Morris, 4-0

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Senior goaltender Nicole Paniccia (Oakville, Ont.) saved 33 shots, but Penn State women’s hockey fell 4-0 to Robert Morris on Thursday night at Pegula Ice Arena.

Robert Morris (7-2-0, 1-0-0 CHA), one of the hottest teams in the nation, showed its offensive prowess early by tallying a goal just 2:17 into the contest off the stick of Katie Fergus right in front of net. Mackenzie Johntson played a quick pass through the slot to Fergus who made no mistake. The Colonials out-shot Penn State 15-4 in the first period.
