Durham, N.H.; Jan. 23, 2015 – The Penn State women’s hockey team was edged by New Hampshire, 2-0, in a non-conference match-up on Friday.

Shannon Yoxheimer (Jackson, Mich.) nearly put Penn State (12-10-3, 7-4-1 CHA) on the board four minutes into the second period. She threw the puck on Vilma Vaattovaara’s net and scooped up the rebound, skated around behind the net and tried to stuff it past Vaattovaara, but she kicked it away to thwart the threat.
